8. Her First Big Role
While audiences may think her first role was playing the late singer Selena in the biopic Selena, her first big role came before that. She was in a 1995 independent film called My Family. She played the love interest of actor Jacob Vargas. Funny enough, her co-star Edward James Olmos went on to play her father in the 1997 film Selena.
With her star slowly rising, J.Lo had a lot of eyes on her. You’ll never guess what co-star she had to turn down. That’s on slide 10.
