Once in a Lifetime Natural Event

Quite recently, images of ice-filled waves crashing on the shore of Nantucket, Massachusetts helped the world envision exactly how ridiculously cold this winter was for the Northern states. This past weekend, Cape Cod National Seashore in Wellfleet welcomed huge chunks of icebergs! They look like something out of this world, nature truly is the best artist of them all!

Unfortunately (but also fortunately), temperatures are starting to rise so the massive chunks of ice you see in the pictures below may not be possible to witness in person anymore.

Interestingly, Boston has received about 105.7 inches of snow – just 2.2 inches short of being the snowiest winter; since winter officially ends March 21st, you never know, Boston might just beat its previous record.
