One of the traditional stereotype of engineers is that they are men. Our country does not typically encourage women to choose this as a career path. This ridiculous notion is imbedded in children at a very young age since boys play with toys that require construction whereas girls are often encouraged to play with dolls. Debbie Sterling intends on changing this with her company, GoldieBlox. She and her company design interactive and creative toys that encourage girls (and boys) to adopt a passion for technology, science, and engineering at a young age.
