Water for Headaches

Water may seem like an obvious candidate, but many people still don’t understand its importance in keeping the body functioning. Often times, we quickly jump to our medicine cabinets before ever thinking that dehydration could be at the root of our symptoms, especially headaches. We often seem to reach for that bottle of ibuprofen before we ever realize that perhaps it’s because we haven’t drank enough water today.

Also digestive issues, fatigue, insomnia, lack of mental focus, and dry skin can be caused from dehydration as well. A report created by the USDA suggested that adults are consuming less than 5 cups of plain water and kids even less (8-12 cups is recommended for adults). Next time you feel any of these symptoms, start by drinking some water first.
