4. He Marched For Civil Rights With MLK
When he was attending college at the University of Chicago in the early 1960’s, Bernie became involved with the Civil Rights Movement. He was part of an organization of students who rode buses from Chicago to Washington D.C. to participate in the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his “I Have A Dream” speech.
Wait until you see #6, I had no idea Bernie had done that.
