Found in mid-continental Africa, Tsetse flies survives on the blood of vertebrate animals. Their danger comes from the parasite Trypanosoma brucei which they carry and can transmit through biting. In humans, this causes sleeping sickness; a disease can lead to death if not addressed (luckily, it is curable in most scenarios).
