Can you imagine serving as a host to flies? Well, for Bot Fly, that is the only purpose you serve. The larvae of these flies get buried into skin and it happens that a mammal’s temperature is perfect environment for the egg to grow. About 8 weeks later, the fly hatches and comes out. Interestingly, the bot fly is known to attach it eggs on mosquitos – the eggs then enter through the opening a mosquito bite will make.
